Working on Star Trek was quite challenging and exciting. A lot of work was put into shading for specific shots as well as resolving technical issues with the gunfire and the setup for some shots.
Especially the rotating cockpit closeup was tricky due to its multiple glass and refraction layers and the real plate.
Also some scripts where needed to autosort the lights into their respective vray light passes so artists could handle the hundreds of lights for the building, ship, weapon, and environment and still know which are leftovers and which are already assigned.
